Another cracking day of sunshine, so spent the morning in the sun by the hotel pool. As usual, I was in and out of the pool every 15 minutes or so as I am rubbish at sunbathing. I don't actually seem to be catching the sun as I am using factor 30, but at least it is stopping me from burning and hopefully,a more gradual tan will last longer once I get home, instead of just peeling off cos I frazzled myself on day 1.
for lunch me and mum went to the sports bar just at the bottom of the street (being big sports fans and all that lol). I just had a tuna salad as I wasn't overly hungry having had a good breakfast. You may have noticed I haven't taken any pic of the foods I've had while I have been here, but that's because there hasn't been anything note-worthy to take a pic of. All the food is very much catered for the brits so nothing exciting to show.
Tonight was our big night out in the New Town in Fancy dress and I will be honest I wasn't looking forward to it to begin with. The whole trip had been planned before I gave up alcohol and now the reality of going out dressed as Bo Selecta Mel B without the crutch of alcohol for confidence is very real. BUT it ended up being a really good night, everyone really made an effort to dress up and looked great. Funnily enough though we weren't the only ones by far, there were loads of groups all dressed up so we just fit in nicely. If I had 1€ for every person who stopped me to have a photo I could have raised quite a lot of funds for the tavern lol.
The award for most committed drunken partygoer definitely goes to this girl who fell asleep in her outfit and didn't drop her inflatable l basketball the whole time lol.
