Benidorm - Day 2

Woke up bright and breezy as had a really nice sleep as soon as my head hit the pillow I was out for the count.

We got up early and had breakfast, I opted for just fruit and a coffee this morning. I am trying to not let all my hard work before the holiday go to waste. I have made the decision not to track my calories for the holiday though as I don't want to obsess over it while I am away.

While mum was on her way back up I put Mum's birthday banners up and gave her mine and Kirsty's cards. The small towel isn't a present she just wanted it in the picture lol. I was meant to be a beach towel that I ordered online but turned up that size :-/

I spent the morning by the pool catching some rays as the sun had come out and it's looking like we are in for some good weather now. I'm not the best at lying sunbathing so had to keep getting in the pool and doing a few lengths of the pool. On the plus side it was a win/win cos I got in some extra exercise as well as catching a few rays.

Aunty Joan, Mike, and Kevin came to meet us at our hotel and we then went for lunch down near the sea front. It was great to see them all and we stayed out until about 9pm chating and catching up and then headed back to the hotel to get showered and changed to meet the other taverners.

We headed to Rockafella's in the new town where the gang had got front-row seats watching a comedian. Me n mum stayed at the back until he had finished as there was no way we were walking past the stage while he was on cos he was ripping everyone to bits when they walked past lol. We watched him then a Lady Gaga Tribute and then moved on to Morgans bar to watch a Take That tribute (I called them Fake That). One of the Taverners was drunk when we arrived at the first bar, to the point where she was asleep in her chair whilst the comedian was on. Later on she just carried on drinking and was bumping into people, knocking drinks over and fell of her stool. It wasn't fair for the girls she had come with as they couldn't relax and enjoy their night as they had to constantly look after her. The problem is in Benidorm it's not good to look that drunk and vulnerable as I could see a guy hanging around and keep trying to talk to her. I did have a word and say it might be time to go home but, she is on her own holiday it's not like it's a company trip and she works for me, so I can only suggest it, I can't make her go home.

We eventually got a chair for 'the liability' to sit on so she would stop falling about and hopefully fall asleep again and be less bother. By the time we had watched Fake That, it was 2:30am and I was ready for bed as it was another 20 minutes walk back, so left the 'young uns' to carry on. Eventually hit the hay at 3am.
