Spend the morning by the morning by the pool sunbathing as I really want to get some colour to go back with as I have a wedding at the weekend.
Managed to get in a few lengths of the pool too. I am probably the worst sunbather EVER. I can't lie in it for a long time so just tend to be in and out the pool every 10/15 minutes. I just about dry off and spray a load of suntan cream on and then I am too hot again and need to get back in the pool. I tried to distract myself by reading my book or listening to music but it doesn't really work.
Met up with Aunty Joan and Mike for lunch and decided to go to Yorkshire Pride for fish and chips as it was Fishy Friday so that was their special. I forgot to get a pick of the food (in fact I haven't taken any food pics while we have been here, oops). I was stuffed after I finished mine and I only had a small one. If you are looking for great food at a good price I would definitely recommend here, especially if you are one of those Brits abroad who "doesn't eat that foreign muck" lol.
Quick family photo, you can just about see mum in the distance speeding off on her mobility scooter lol. She's great company to walk she just shoots off and leaves you most of the journey. I think she's secretly a speed demon cos whenever she has a clear run she puts her foot down lol.
Headed back to the hotel just after 7pm to get ready to meet the gang in the old town. We started off in Cafe Klee but it was fully booked (so recommend booking a table if you plan to go and watch the cabaret). So some had to go next door to the Pig n Whistle. Me and mum watched the first half then went next door to join the others so we had split our time between them. It was. good night, but I find I am ready to go around 2am ish and that is usually when drunk people star to become more annoying lol. Mum wasn't up for leaving so I headed back to the hotel on my own and Emma promised to make sure she got back to the hotel okay.
Got home about 2:30 am and just nodded off when I got a phone call at 4am from Ali to say Emma had just delivered mum to the hotel door and would I go meet her. Mum was already in the hotel so not sure why I had to escort her from the reception to the room :-/ Looks like someone will be sleeping most of tomorrow morning while I am by the pool !
