The alarm went off at 5:30am so that I had time to jump in the shower and get dressed to grab a continental breakfast. The restaurant doesn't normally open until 7:30am but the hotel very kindly opened it at 6:3o for those who were getting an early pick up for the airport.
We were checked out, outside and ready for the transfers really early and so the rep let us get on the Gatwick coach which got us to the airport in plenty of time. Lucky for us really as there were strikes happening today for an hour at some point with the staff who do the airport security. We didn't have any delays and pretty much sailed through.
The flight was over and done with quite quickly and when we landed the bags came off fast and then our taxi was already at the airport when I rang it.
Go home and Kirsty made us both a lovely pasta dish for dinner, jus what I needed after a day of traveling.
Pretty early night as felt rough as toast and full of a cold with a sore throat. Always the way after a flight. Great !
