Day 7 - Post Hair Op - Stitches Out

Slept in this morning so didn't get down to breakfast until 10 am, and they'd already started packing away. Wasn't best pleased, I think I'd been dreaming about them cornflakes last night. I took a few photos while I was down there just so you get a bit more of an understanding of how many people come here for surgeries etc. One thing you don't need to be worried about is being sat in the restaurant on your own looking like someone off Nip n Tuck but it's just the norm here so you don't even need to worry even if you come on your own.

They are not the clearest pics cos I was trying to be all covert and undercover lol. There were 4 girls all with nose job that had come from America, 3 guys with hair transplants and the women who looked like she had had an accident was still wandering round like someone of the cast of The Living Dead lol. You know it must be good though when people are traveling from America which is probably the plastic surgery capital, to have work done here.

Managed to grab a coffee and then thought I would take the opportunity to have a wander to the shops. Wanted to grab some bits for the room, crisps etc and needed some breakfast. In the end I bought a packet of bread rolls, and some cheese spread triangle things. That should be relatively straightforward to make in the room (right?). Also bought some dental floss and interdental brushes so I could make sure I was cleaning between my veneers etc, in case I didn't get chance to grab any when I got home.

Back at the room the relatively easy sandwich turned into a right hoo haa. The cheese triangles were quite hard and the only thing I could spread it with was the back of a spoon but the bread was dead some and just kinda broke up. In the end I guess I had a bread and cheese squish (it could be a thing). I just kinda rolled it all together then flattened it out again and figured it would be mushed up in my belly anyway so what the difference. Don't recommend serving a squish to guests though it didn't look too hot.

Squish eaten and then got myself ready for David Guest as he was taking my stitches out today. Went to meet Emma in the lobby and Kate was there too, she was having her check-up. She had stayed in an extra night after her surgery as they have to remove the drains the put in during the Op. She looked really well and I was surprised how active she was considering what she has just been through. Tough Kiwi ;-) Back home in London she is a coach for Crossfit and weight training. I thought OUCH, that's not gonna be an easy back to work day. Jumped in a taxi with Kate and Emma and then Steven met us at the hospital. I said I was happy to do my interview today now I had full control of my mouth, so we arranged to go through hit when we got back to the hotel.

Me and Kate>>>>

I was first in and Doctor David at me down in his dentist-style chair. first he removed the bits of take with tweezers and then grabbed one end of the stitches (the outside of the eye piece) and as he was starting to pull the stitch out his assistant had a kind of vibrating thing on my upper eye. Not sure if it was a distraction technique of if it served some kind of purpose to tossed the stitch. Either way it was pretty painless and over in no time. Same with the other eye. I said to Emma "I thought she was shaping my eyebrows for me then', She translated to Alga (no idea her name) and laughter ensued (of course I'm funny me lol). I was gonna say "I'm here all week people" but I thought that might get lost in translation. Once my stitches were out it was time for the prison mug shot photoshoot, "side" "front" "other side". I even managed to get myself a pic with David :-)

Now in my defense I have tweaked this photo a little, he was a slip of a thing and I had a whacking great big Parker on, so I looked like a right Heffer next to him so I 'facetuned' the hell out of it to compensate for the coat (and being a fat knacker lol). So for complete transparency, I will show you the before and after side by side. Oh and Ok I might have added a few pounds on to Dr David just cos nobody should be that slim lol.

See if just goes to show don't believe everything you see. I feel sorry for the straight guys who are Tinder etc these days cos it's like a lucky dip. The photos are edited so much that you arrange a date with Julia Roberts and then the bride of Shrek turns up.

So here are the Eyes without the stitches, still pretty bruised and swollen but happy with the results and should be good when they heal.

Need to get them bloody brows sorted>>>

Anyway, nothing exciting for the rest of the day just caught up on invoices and current affairs on CNN. I feel feet clever after having nothing on TV but the news for 10 days. I have decided though I prefer my life in my little bubble NOT watching the news. It's bloody depressing and it already happened so there's nowt I can do about it, so I'll just carry on as I am, blissfully ignorant.:-)
