Istanbul - Day 7

Had a lazy 'in my room all day' kind of day today. Went down for breakfast just before they finished serving as I didn't sleep a wink last night until at 4am onwards so woke up knackered. Straight after breakfast I came back to my room and had a little nap until lunch time.

I had to get everything ready to launch the new Buckt Offer we have negotiated for Tavern members. It's already a great deal that you get at full price. 5 mystery activities every month for just £15 but they are doing a deal and letting Taverners have the first month a £9.99 FOR TWO PEOPLE. You can cancel at any time so it's worth giving it a try just for a month to see what you think. If you sign up in May your activities start in June and you have 3 months to take them as long as you book your places in June. If you like the sound of it, see full details HERE

Once I had got the website ready and posts sorted to go live later today it was about 3pm so I met Layla and Kirsty to go for lunch. they found this really nice place up the street that is part of a hotel called Stayso, the food place was called H&Lime, defo recommend it. They sold a variety of different foods and It was really modern and was a chocolatier, cafe and restaurant, Very modern and clean inside.

All the kitchen and food prep areas was behind glass so you could watch everything being made, even the cakes and chocolates. There were bug glass cabinets showing all the desserts as full cakes but also in individual portions if you wanted one to go.

I ordered a Cinderella drink which was a mocktail with pineapple, soda, lime and a few other things I can't remember. I'm not normally a fan of things with soda in but this was nice as it stopped it being overly sweet and made it refreshing instead. Kirsty had a peach ice tea and Layla had a lime and soda but hat was too sharp for me it drew your arse o your elbow and made me pull that sour face lol.

The food was all cooked fresh and I had the oriental beef noodle salad. It was lovely, really lean beef with a light soy and honey dressing (not a lot of it to be fair so not too flavoury if you don't like salt). There were some sliced red chillis in but again only a nice kick as they had taken the seeds out so there was heat without blowing your head off. I really liked it. Kirsty wasn't as impressed with her noodle soup but I think she was expecting hot and sour that she has at home and has also just brushed her teeth. It tasted fine to me and Layla. So she ended up getting some vinegar to add to it. She felt a bit ill afterward so went back to the room. Laylay had a vegan Panini and enjoyed hers too.

I just HAD to try a dessert so went for the mill crepe which was a take on the mille feuille but had ultra-thin crepe layers with coconut white chocolate and cream. It was gorgeous.

After food it was time to retire to the room and watch a few episodes of Jack Ryan on Amazon Prime. If you like CIA spy films you will love this series.

Did a few lives into The Tavern to announce the Buckt deal and watched telly in bed then gave my face a nice cleanse with the Tropic powder cleanser I got off my friend Amanda which I now love. It's made with volcanic ash and bamboo powder ( I think) It leaves my skin really cleansed but not over-dried. I love it. If you want to join her group and order some you can join HERE.

Then fell asleep/ Rock n Roll Baby! lol
