Why Can My Car Do 160mph?

Woke up nice and early and made a start getting some washing done so I am on top of it for the week. I find it much easier to do one lot at a time rather than have to do a big washing day and be drowning in clean clothes than all need folding and putting away. I have realised that I am much better at doing stuff in smaller manageable chunks rather than big long tasks.

The drive to my appointment seemed to feel so long, it was just short of 3 hours but felt like I had been in the car forever. I listened to various podcasts about being organised and maintain momentum etc and I think one of the things I am going to give a try is scheduling in times trough my day for specific things so that I know what I need to focus on. Especially when it's an. admin day as I usually have so much do to that I get overwhelmed and don't end up completing half the stuff I need to.

Whilst driving I noticed that my speedometer has a maximum speed of 160 mph?? In who's green and pleasant land is that every going to be necessary? Surely if it is a car made for UK roads then it should have a top speed of 80 at the most to allow for overtaking on a 70mph road? When woulod it ever be safe or legal to do 160 mph? I get that race cars need to be able to do faster but unless they are specifically for a race track I don't understand why they should be built with that kind of capabilities. It;'s like when I watch these police chase shows and they are saying "vehicle is travelling at 105 mph" or whatever. Well they shouldn't be able to go that fast then you would be able to catch them. Give police vehicles more speed etc but Joe Blogs should not be able to go any faster than UK roads allow? Or am I tripping? If you know a reason for this please comment below.

The weather was grey and miserable when I set off but by the time I got to my appointment it was glorious sunshine. I had taken Bella with me for the drive out and luckily the shop was on a nice country lane so I could leave all the windows open for her and take her for a walk etc. I managed to open a new account too which always gives me a fuzzy feeling as I feel I am increasing the business opportunities available to us. Hopefully, it will be a good account going forward too as they have just taken over the business and want to put their own stamp on it and get new products in.

By the time I go home it was 6:30pm and I was goosed and couldn't be bothered making anything fancy so jut settled for fish, chips and mushy peas. Cooked it in the air fryer so it wasn't too unhealthy, or at least that's what I tell myself.

I did an online food shop wish Asda as they had a better donation fee through Easy Fundraising for The Virtual Tavern as they do a bigger one for new customers, so I switched from Tesco for this week. I won't shop online anymore without going via the app so I can help raise funds for the tavern, especially since it doesn't cost me anything.
