Woke up nice and early and packed my PJ's and a few bit for the camping trip then waited for Nicky & Nat to let me know they were ready to head off.
We wanted to try and all try and get to the campsite around the same time as Nat had the key fob to get through the barrier. It was an easy drive and we all shared our locations in Whatsapp so we could track where everyone was as Louise was driving all the way up from London. It's a great feature in WhatsApp that you can do that as it saves having to keep checking where everyone is. the wonders of modern technology eh lol.
Myself and Nicky arrived first and then not long after Hayley and Nat arrived so we went to the caravan and unpacked and waited for Louise to arrive.
Once everyone was there we decided to go for some lunch at a pub down the road. The food was absolutely gorgeous and lucky for me Nicky is a sharer like me so we shared 4 oysters and ceviche to start with and then for mains, we ordered different sandwiches, prawns& crayfish and a chicken one, with garlic and rosemary chips and split them. We even shared out desserts, a lemon posset and chocolate brownie.
Nat and Hayley had the "treasure box" which was this wooden box that they bring over containing various hand made chocolates that you can choose from. I had to have one obviously lol.
After spending about 6 hours trying to sort out the bill (we could not get it all to add up lol) we headed back to the caravan and put on our comfy's. We stopped off at the shop on the way home to get 'snacks' for later, then got settled in for the night.
We girls cracked on with the prosecco and I thought I would give my "social" from three- spirit drink a try. To be honest I can't say I noticed any difference but I was having a great time with the gang anyway. I don't really feel the need to have something when everybody else is drinking it really doesn't bother me. More so when it is a special occasion and you are just chatting etc you don't really need it.
It was a really good night and we laughed from the minute we got together until the minute we went to bed. It was so good catching up with everybody cos we don't get together often enough because life just gets in the way. We were missing one of the gang as Paula had an event to go to already so couldn't make it. Hopefully the next get togetherwe will all be able to make it.
No matter how long goes by without seeing this lot, when we get together it's like it was yesterday.
