Photos, Posters & Peter Kay

Updated: Jun 18, 2023

Woke up with the birds and let Dudley and Bella out for a wee while I jumped in the shower. Straight after I took them both out on the fields at the bottom of the street, while it was still quite cool and they wouldn't get too hot.

We all had breakfast (even Dudley ate some turkey pieces I'd cooked for my TLT. Once I knew they were fed and watered I headed into town for my latest Buckt activity. This one was an iphone photography class. I had forgot to ask if anybody fancied coming with me and would normally have used that as an excuse not to go, but instead, I decided to go on my own. It was on canal street in Manchester and I was the first one to arrive. The lady taking the class (Claire) had an SLR camera which made me think this was not going to be for iPhones. It turned out she brought it just in case anybody turned up with an actual camera.

Anyway, the class involved strolling around canal street and taking pics of various things, buildings, foreground, trees etc. If I'm honest it felt a bit basic for me as she didn't really tell me anything I didn't really already know, like angles and using thirds etc. I take quite a lot of pics and use various apps to enhance them etc so I didn't get a lot from it. So much so I left after half an hour as I was worried about leaving Dudley and Bella alone too long. Anyway here were my best shots of the afternoon..

I was quite happy with the ones I took, to be honest. I always like to try and be a bit arty with my pics when I remember :-/

Kelly came around so that we could design the poster and set up her tickets on our website. She has an amazing VIP experience for 2 people to watch Peter Kay with free bar, food, comfy seats, VIP parking the works. Tickets to go into the prize draw are just £5 so if you are reading this and would like to buy any, you can get them HERE. The event is 20th Oct and winners will be drawn 16th July.

Once the posters were done and tickets set up on the website we did a live into The Virtual Tavern facebook group to let people know about the prize draw. It's been a while since I've had a co-presenter in the actual tavern with me. It felt normal having someone next to me as it was that was for so long.

Marie came and collected Dudley and then I just wanted to chill and have a few games with Fi on the PS4. That's my idea of chilling these days as I get to have a catch up with her at the same time.

I had planned to join Jenna for food in Uppermill but everything ran over so I ended up bailing. Plus I knew it wouldnb't just be food and they would want a big night out and I really don't have one in me these days lol.
