Mystery, Murder and Ginger

Well the weather took a bit of a turn from yesterday. It was grey and overcast all morning and then just brightened up long enough at lunchtime for me to put some washing on the line. Oooh I do love a good pegging out day lol, It's like having your dryer on but mother nature is paying the bill. The only things that don't have the same feel to them are towels. They always feel a bit scratchy when they have dried on the line, they are really soft and fluffy in the dryer. But hey there is a cost of living crisis we need to cut corners where we can ;-)

Went to Tim Hawtons for breakfast with Andy Becky to do a mystery shop. We had to have a breakfast wrap then fill in a short survey. £15 for eating breakfast can't complain. It was literally in and out in 15 mins (including eating it obvs).

When I got home I did a live into the Tavern to announce the latest giveaway. We are giving away this cute little puppy that breaths in it's sleep. If you fancy winning it head over to the tavern events and draws page on the link below as it's FREE to enter.

Got home a nd there had been a murder at my house.

Someone had killed my basil plants! They have been over-watered. Problem is I live on my own so who could it be? lol. Gutted I thought I had done really well splitting the big plant and getting 5 babies out of it :-(

Next job was to juice my ginger for the weeks ginger shots. I had tried to buy Turmeric at the same time but both Sainsburys and Tesco had none. So I juice 4 pieces and managed to make 4 bottles of pure ginger juice, two for me and two for Fi and Alexa. I used one of my bottle to make up muy shots diluted with apple juice (I made the mistake of trying it neat and woooooo it was far too spicy). Anyway, I got 8 bottle out of it so had one for today and then have 7 for next week. I'll get some Tumeric from the World Foods place near mum tomorrow.

Didn't feel like cooking anything too elaborate for dinner so made one of my favourite simple dishes. Spaghetti with garlic, chilli, black pepper and plenty of parmesan cheese.

It's quite a dry dish as there is no sauce but I love it. It's a nice comfort dish when you just want carbs and a flavour. Oh and I added some lemon juice too. I don't know why I do that when put Oh and... when I could just as easily edit the post lol. It's because I just type as I think.

Just caught the Elton part of Glastonbury before going to bed. He still has it.
