Egypt - Day 4

Well after going to the room last night it was the same techno trance type music until about 11pm. Not sure how they think that shite is going to get people up dancing.  Someone needs to have a word with the entertainment team. It sounded like a late-night rave not a hotel.

Woke up at 6am and got showered and ready then nipped into the restaurant for a coffee (and cake obvs lol). We had ordered a breakfast bag but I wasn't expecting it to be up to much and I wasn't wrong. Three dry bread rolls and two pieces of fruit. Maybe a fruit butty is a thing here? lol. Anyway, we both headed off on our separate trips, me to do two dives and Eddie to Paradise Island. I gave my taxi driver my breakfast bag and he seemed grateful, so all's well.

It was about 35 mins to the scuba place and we picked up a Russian family on the way I think they were Russian by the accent but could be wrong. It worked out really good because they were just snorkeling and it was only me and an English couple doing the dives so we had an instructor for just us.

I was a bit nervous when I first jumped in the taxi on my own , but once we started getting all the wetsuits on etc and they fitted okay I felt okay. I got a quick refresher on assembling my BCD and tank etc but then it all came back to me. Phil and Carrie seemed really nice and it was good having an English couple with me so I didn't feel on my own so much. They tried to say it was £20 for the scuba gear hire (cos I didn't need the intro to diving thing) but I reminded them it was actually £15, they always try it on, but I was giving them the £20 anyway with a tip but just didn't want them thinking they had done me over as if I was stupid.

Once we were suited up it was a quick jump off the boat and on to our first of two dives around the coral.

Once I got used to the buoyancy again and could stay where I wanted in the water I just loved the way the fish seemed to swim alongside you and really not be bothered by your presence. It was so relaxing and peaceful because there was only the 4 of us and there was no pressure to go quick or anything. I think the more I dive the more I will enjoy the escape. I seemed to do better with my air supply this time too as I had the same left as the other two. Our first dive was 9.4m for 55 min and the second was 9.7m for an hour. I am going to invest in my own mask though as the one I used felt like it was digging in the bridge of my nose and was sore after a bit.

After the two dives, we had some lunch and then headed back to shore. But by the time I got back to the botel it was bout 3:30 pm so I was goosed. I went back to the room and Eddie got back about 5pm. We had a nap and then got ready for the oriental restaurant for our 8pm booking. On the way up the stairs we saw the girl I booked it with and she said "no you are lat it was 6:30om' I was sure it wasn't but we decided to go to the normal restaurant before it closed. I knew Eddie thought I had cocked up but when we got back to the room I found the ticket and it was 8p[m out booking. She is getting it tomorrow when I see her!

Anyway, food was SOS (same old shite) but it filled a gap.

Early night as early start tomorrow for our activity day. Another day Squinting trying to type this lol, tied eyes.
