Egypt - Day 3

Didn't set any alarm and jus woke up when our bodies told us to get up. Eddie is quite laid back like me on holiday so we don't stick to any rigid timetable or anything. Breakfast was the same as yesterday but I had a cheese cucumber and tomatoe bread roll to mix it up a bit.

Straight after breakfast we found our beds in the sun and listened to our music to pass the time. I did another circuit of the pool once I got too hot. I am probably the worst sunbather ever. By the time I got out and dried and my body returned to normal human temperature it was time to have lunch. that's the only downside with AI you feel like you just go from one meal to another,. Eddiw had a pizza and I had a burger (well half of one as I was full after half and so have decided to just stop eating when I am full and not force it in. Had a short break in the sun then I went to the fitness centre and did a chest and biceps workout (get me). I am determined not to let the holiday set me back after I have been doing well at home last week. I have been sticking to soda water for drinks cos I don't see the point in drinking fizzy pop during the day when I don't drink can s of pop at home.

After lunch and the gym it was about 3pm so we headed back to the room for a siesta (we like an afternoon nap). The pool music is like a rave for most of the afternoon but still managed to nod off now and then.

We had booked the A'la'Carte Grill restaurant for tonight at 8pm so wore a shirt to look a bit more presentable.

To say I was disappointed in the food is an understatement. Starter Chicken soup, then a small chicken salad and for main, you guessed it chicken breast with mash and veg. For dessert, I was expecting chicken ice cream but it was puff and wind sponge (not much better).

We went into the bar for the 'African Show' which consisted of the animation team in African attire doing the same dance they probably do all week lol. HJad a coffee hen soda water then we headed back to the room, where I am currently squinting typing this up. Specs not handed in so looks like I will be short sighted for the holiday. Hopefully you can make some sense of this cos I can't really see what I am typing :-/

So I think it's safe to say that the food is not going to be 5 star, it's probably more like a UK 3 star for food, so if that's important to you this probably isn't the hotel for you. We only booked it for a cheap break and cos it looked different but if it was out main holiday I would rather have paid more and got good food.

I've got diving tomorrow and Eddie is off to somewhere called Paradise Island somewhere. Tune in tomrrow for another gripping instalement lol.
