I received a sachet of Roast Chicken Pasta Mugshot to product test from The Home Tester Club
The packaging didn't have that high gloss waxy finish to it as it was 100% recyclable. The instructions were straightforward I just emptied the sachet into a mug and filled about 3/4 up with boiling water to cover the pasta. I let it sit for a few minutes then gave it. stir halfway through. I tasted the sauce and it was very full flavoured, but needed to add more hot water to fully cook the pasta and it had started to cool. In hindsight, I should have just microwaved it instead of adding more water as the sauce wasn't as intense after I'd added more water (rookie mistake)
The pasta was surprisingly soft considering the short time it had been covered in hot water. I think the taste would have been much richer without the extra water, but I had already tasted the sauce so knew what it should taste like.
Overall verdict, a nice snack or lunch on the go. It's not gonna get Gordan Ramsay shaking in his boots but it does exactly what it says on the packet so definitely worth a try.
